Privacy policy

Inkprint is operated by Edventure Web Development Services. We do not save the text or documents you paste or upload in a database. We process them only to produce your report, and the finished report, including quoted excerpts, may stay in an edge cache for up to one hour under a key derived from a hash of the input.

Effective September 19, 2026

Who we are

Edventure Web Development Services, owned and operated by Mark Anthony Llego, runs Inkprint. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA, Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, we act as the personal information controller for the service. For privacy questions, write to markllego@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Text you paste or upload: the writing sample you check and any original document you add for quote checks. Files are read in your browser, so only the extracted text leaves your device. We process this content to produce your report and do not save it in a database.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address, device and browser details, and request metadata to deliver the service and protect it from abuse. Browser verification also processes this technical data to distinguish visitors from automated requests. The verification service does not receive your writing sample or original document.
  • Local settings: your browser stores your theme choice in local storage. It stays on your device.

Inkprint has no accounts, no advertising cookies, and no analytics trackers.

How we use your information

We use the text you submit to generate the report you asked for. We use technical data to operate and secure the service. We read and answer messages you send to our contact address.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the text you submit for advertising or profiling. We do not publish your text, and we do not use your submissions to train AI models.

Sharing

We share content with service providers only to run the analysis: a cloud hosting provider that serves the application and an analysis provider that returns the writing judgments. Both act on our instructions as personal information processors. Some providers process data outside the Philippines, and we rely on their contractual safeguards for those transfers.

Retention

We do not write submitted documents to a database. A finished report, including excerpts from the submitted text, can stay in an edge cache for up to one hour, keyed by a hash of the input, so repeat checks do not redo the work. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs for security and reliability. We keep email messages while we handle your request.

Security

We serve the site over HTTPS. Cached reports can contain excerpts and expire within one hour. Access to production systems is limited and protected by credentials. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected users as required by the DPA.

Your rights

Under the DPA, you can ask to be informed, object to processing, access your data, and correct errors. You can also ask for erasure or blocking, request a portable copy, and claim damages for violations. Send requests to markllego@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Minors

Inkprint is a study aid for students. If you are under 18, use it with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Sensitive personal information

Please do not paste sensitive personal information, such as health records, government identification numbers, or details about race, religion, or political views. If you include it, we process it to return your report. Excerpts may remain in the report cache for up to one hour.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
